GENTLE RESTORATIVE

Carrie’s Restorative yoga class encourages physical, mental, and emotional rest.  Appropriate for all levels, practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing. Some of the benefits you might experience from a regular Restorative yoga practice are: a Deeply relaxed state, stillness of the mind, a release of muscular tension, and balancing of the nervous system.

ROCK STEADY BOXING

Rock Steady Boxing is a non-contact fitness program designed specifically for people with Parkinson’s but can be beneficial to everyone. The class is structured around stretching, balance
work, agility and dynamic movement, calisthenics circuit, and a modified boxing regimen. The benefits of this class include improving motor skills and creating new connection pathways in
the brain, improving neuroplasticity.
Class size limited, registration is required

VINYASA FLOW

This beginner/intermediate Vinyasa flow style yoga class is
structured around a building block concept where we warm-up targeted muscle groups through
Vinyasa flow building strength and endurance in preparation for more complicated yoga poses
toward the end of class. We also focus on breath, core strength, and flexibility.

Carrie’s Vinyasa flow class is an energetic class that emphasizes sequential movement between postures, coordinated with and guided by deliberate breath. This class is an intermediate advanced level class.
